With two and a half years of Form F assessing experience, and sixteen successful Foster Carer applications to date, you can be confident that your agency’s Prospective Foster Carers are in good hands with me!

I have been a social worker to children and young people in long term care, and I have been a supervising social worker to Foster Carers, and I bring the experience, skills and knowledge of both to the assessment process.

I have found building a good professional relationship is key to developing Prospective Foster Carer’s through the assessment process; helping develop their understanding of the fostering task, and preparing them for the exciting challenges and amazing experiences that fostering brings.

Through the assessment process I expose Prospective Foster Carers to new thinking, and help develop reflective practices that educate, challenge and promote personal growth and learning. I achieve this through informative home visits, reflective practice sessions, case  examples, and sharing relevant reading materials, news items, blogs and documentaries.
